Memorial site dedicated to the tragic events of July 1944 in Chapelle-en-Vercors.
On July 25, 1944, German soldiers arrived at La Chapelle en Vercors. They rounded up the population and took sixteen young men hostage. That same evening, as the village was set on fire, the boys were executed in the courtyard of a farmhouse ("La cour des fusillés").
Inside the restored barn adjoining the courtyard, a museum pays tribute to these martyrs.
Open all year round.
