The forests of the Vercors begin to glow golden while the first frosts whiten our summits. Although the temperatures are gradually dropping, we’d like to take a look at all our autumn activities to help you get off the beaten track!

Autumn is here! And with this beautiful season comes a very special activity to discover the beautiful forests of the Vercors in a different way: mushroom picking.

Sports activities Getting off the beaten track

Autumn is also the time to discover new activities and get off the beaten track. We’ve got some great ideas for climbing and via corda/ferrata. And for those who want to discover autumn from a different angle, caving activities are still available!


The bellowing of the stag Discovering wildlife

At this time of year, an impressive spectacle takes place in the forests of the Vercors: the bellowing of the stag. This period of reproduction and confrontation is marked by this characteristic cry that echoes through our forests. Next time you go for a walk, listen carefully, keep your eyes wide open and stay quiet on the paths. It’s not impossible that the king of the forest is hiding just a few steps away from you!


The Roule ma Boule Forest walk, games and snack

A ball and a wooden course in the heart of the forest? That’s Roule ma boule! Just a stone’s throw from the Le Clariant restaurant for a snack, all you have to do is bring your own wooden ball or buy one to enjoy this fun course among the leafy trees all week long!

Accompanied by an astronomy professional, set off to discover the Vercors during an adventurous bivouac under a night sky that has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve. Over three days, you’ll learn all about astronomy and the myths of the celestial vault, as well as the flora and fauna of the Vercors massif!
