The Pré des Preys lake

Starting from the village of Les Clots, on the heights of Villard de Lans, a beautiful snowshoe hike awaits you. The programme includes a steep ascent, fir trees and, at the end, the Pré des Preys lake.

Be careful: at the end, the lake is in the alpine skiing area, so be careful. The Pré des Preys lake is not a natural lake, as the Vercors is a limestone massif and the water does not stay on the surface. It is a hill reservoir to supply the snow guns in winter.

📍 Start: Les Clots – Villard de Lans

➡️ Distance: 8.4km

Difference in altitude: +330m

🕐 Time: 2h20

The Vallon de la fauge

Also starting from Les Clots, take the path through the Fauge valley to the Roybon refuge. At the refuge, you can stop and admire the magnificent panorama of the mountain range. Here, the sunset leaves you dreaming.

The Col du Liorin

From the Hauts Plateaux Nordic gateway in Corrençon en Vercors, follow the path along the pretty balm-shaped rock faces and continue through the forest as far as the Bellier fir, a remarkable tree in the Loubière forest. A short break is in order! Continue on to the Col du Liorin, where a magnificent panoramic view awaits you. In front of you, you can admire the highest peak in the northern Vercors, Grande Moucherolle, which rises to an altitude of 2,284 m.
