What's your favourite thing about your sport?

“Above all, it’s the sheer sensation of speed you feel on the bike, amongst the trees. But beyond the performance itself, it’s the atmosphere at the races that really gets me going. In the world of enduro, the atmosphere is friendly. Cycling is also the perfect excuse to explore new landscapes, discover new places and, above all, share good times with other enthusiasts.”

Your best memory of Villard/Corrençon?

“So it’s not necessarily to do with cycling (though it might be), but looking back now, it’s my time at the Lycée Climatique Jean Prévost. I feel very nostalgic about those times with my friends.”

3 words that define the destination for you?

Mountains, Forest, Cycling (cycle path).

Your favourite spot in Villard/Corrençon?

“At the moment, it’s the Bois Barbu area, and more specifically the two green and blue runs. The advantage is that they’re suitable for all ability levels. Whether you’re on a conventional or electric mountain bike, you can chain the descents together quickly. It’s the perfect playground for a fun day out with friends.”

Your pro tip for a successful mountain bike outing?

“First, a purely practical tip: remember to check and adjust your tyre pressures regularly. That’s the secret to ensuring your bike feels the same and responds just as well on every ride. And my second piece of advice is a bit more poetic: don’t forget to look up from the handlebars and take in your surroundings. We’re cycling in an exceptional setting – you’ve got to make the most of it!”

What's your favourite route through the resort?

“Without a doubt, the TSEPA red run. I’ve got a special attachment to it because it’s a run I was lucky enough to work on as a shaper during the summer of 2023. Learning how to design the turns and shape the terrain adds a whole new dimension to the experience of riding it.”

“When it comes to competition, the ultimate dream is obviously to stand on the top step of the podium and win at the highest level. But my main aim is to make this sport accessible to as many people as possible. Passing on my knowledge is essential to me! I’m also a qualified instructor (DEJEPS, specialising in mountain biking) so that I can share my passion and help riders of all levels improve.”

Enduro

🌟 Léon is part of the Villard-de-Lans team!

Ever since he was 10, Léon has never been without his enduro bike. This young athlete lives for challenging descents and riding through the pine trees. Having made a name for himself on regional and national circuits (the EndurAURA Cup and the Enduro des Alpes Trophy), Léon is taking a major step forward in 2026. This season, he’s competing in the stages of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup (EDR discipline), a six-stage competition taking in some of Europe’s most stunning locations: Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.

How are you looking forward to the coming season?

With six World Cup rounds, the Enduro Alpes and the French Championships, the 2026 season promises some great events! I feel ready to perform at these exceptional events!
