Europe’s highest marathon (over 1,000 metres above sea level) is back!
Over three days of festivities and sport, Villard-de-Lans will host the start of four races, including the Marathon!
A partners’ and exhibitors’village, a ravioli party, food trucks,concerts and entertainment can all be found in the heart of the village ✨

Friday 26 June
2.00 pm – 8.00 pm: Partners’ and exhibitors’ village opens

7.00 pm: Ravioli party by Saint-Jean (Place Mûre Ravaud)
Saturday 27 June
8.00 am: Marathon start
10.00 am – 7.00 pm: Partners’ and exhibitors’ village open (Place Pierre
Chabert)
10.20 am: First marathon runners cross the finish line
11.00 am: Marathon prize-giving ceremony
3.45 pm: First 10km runners cross the finish line
4.30 pm: 10km prize-giving ceremony
7.00 pm: Start of the 20km race
7.30 pm: Start of the 10 km race
Due to the hot weather forecast for this weekend, the organisers of the Vercors Marathon have decided to postpone the start of the 10km race, originally scheduled for 3.00 pm, to 7.30 pm on Saturday 27 June.
8.00 pm: Concert in Villard-de-Lans
8.10 pm: First runners in the 20km racecross the finish line
8.30 pm: 20 km prize-giving ceremony
Sunday 28 June
Resistance Walk (Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte)
9.00 am – 10.00 am: Collection of race numbers in Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte
10.00 am: Start of the Resistance Walk
Prices and access
The races start in the centre of the village of Villard-de-Lans. Free entry for spectators; open to all.
📍 Planning your journey – Saturday 27 June
Special shuttle buses, accessible to all, will run every 15 minutes from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm:
- Lans-en-Vercors – L’Aigle car park → Villard-de-Lans
- Villard-de-Lans – Côte 2000 → Villard-de-Lans
- Villard-de-Lans – Bois Barbu → Villard-de-Lans
Regional buses T64 and T65 are running as normal
