To make sure you have a holiday that’s 100% fun, check out this checklist of winter experiences in Villard / Corrençon.
If you love wide open spaces covered in snow and immaculate with fresh snow, combined with moments of well-being and indulgence, this is the perfect rejuvenating break. ❄️

1. Snowshoeing at the end of the world

The snow has covered our mountains and fir trees in a thick white blanket, and the landscape is changing and taking on a different look. Now is the time to prepare your snowshoe outing. For a total immersion in nature, don’t hesitate to call on our guides.
Warmly equipped with technical clothing (light for the ascent and warmer for the descent 😊), set off on an adventure off the beaten track.

Take a look at our online snowshoe guide with its 18 routes. Prefer a paper version? Visit your local tourist office, it’s free.

2- Contemplate the Vercors range from your skis

Do you love the view of the Vercors from the plateau?
We can assure you that from the summits it’s quite something! And for 100% pleasure, we’re offering it to you effortlessly. Take the Belvédère chairlift (on the Corrençon side) and at the top, enjoy a 360° view over the crests of the southern Vercors as far as Mont Aiguille and the whole of the Villard de Lans / Corrençon en Vercors plateau. A magnificent view at any time of day. As an Instagram photo spot, don’t hesitate to share your best photos on social networks with #villarddelans/corrençon.

3. Enjoy a raclette with Bleu du Vercors cheese

The appliance heating up in the centre of the table, a plate of cold meats, a bowl of potatoes still smoking and a beautiful platter of local cheese… Just talking about it will get your taste buds tingling! Back home, we call it “Vercouline”. Raclette is served with Bleu du Vercors Sassenage AOP cheese. Very mild, it’s a perfect substitute for traditional raclette cheese. To try it is to adopt it.

4. Experience little Scandinavia in the Vercors on cross-country skis

You don’t have to go to the Nordic countries to discover beautiful Nordic landscapes. Here, in winter, the Haut-Vercors Nordic ski area offers us the same scenery, with vast expanses ofwhite and forests of snow-covered fir trees.

It’s a Nordic area where the magic happens!

With 155km of groomed and tracked runs to choose from, whether skating or classic, you’ll be immersed in the heart of nature and able to switch off immediately! Let yourself be carried away by the beauty of the area, which is even more enchanting the day after it snows!

5. Test all the sleds at the luge park

The Luge Park is the place to be for young and old alike. A return to childhood guaranteed! Discover or rediscover the thrill of gliding across the snow on one of the many sledges on offer. The holiday challenge? Try out as many sleds as you can! All you have to do is choose between the airboard, the 2-person big bob, the super bob, the snake, the yooner and all the others.

6. Enjoy a festive Villard/Corrençon!

In the village centres, at the foot of the slopes or in the luge park, there’s a whole host of activities on offer every day! On the programme: snowball fights, snow sculptures, snooc, escape games, hockey initiation and much more!

As night falls, you can choose between the famous torchlit descents and shows in the centre of Villard de Lans.
