Enjoy the fresh air

When you’re on vacation in the mountains, the best thing you can do is enjoy the great outdoors.

That’s why we recommend our best-selling outdoor activities: hiking, trail running and orienteering!

Where I come from, hiking is sacred. Many snowshoe itineraries are accessible with little or no snow! For the more athletic of you, you can pick up the pace in short (or even long) strides with ourtrail itineraries. In fact, some routes are now snow trails = accessible even with snow 😉

And finally, for the more adventurous (and those whose maps and compasses make them dream), head for orienteering. For all levels and ages, between beautiful landscapes and games!

Our off-piste winter activities

Let’s face it, going on vacation in the mountains in winter is all about enjoying the magic of the snow.

But sometimes the magic doesn’t happen every time, and the weather isn’t as generous as we’d like. Despite our best snow dances, there’s not much we can do about it… The watchword: adapt and enjoy the mountains in a different way!

Villard/Corrençon is a truly multi-activity destination. So here are our 5 tips to ensure you have an action-packed vacation!

Enjoy the fresh air

Work on your balance and style

Looking for a skating or gliding sensation? Want to improve your skating technique and balance? Don’t worry, we’ve got the solution: the skating rink!

Lace up your skates? Check! Gloves on? Check! Helmet on? Check! For your first steps on the ice, you can hold on to the railings for a few metres, pay attention to the direction of rotation of the skaters and, above all, keep your legs flexible!

For those less confident on the ice, you can take a seat in the stands and enjoy the show: skating galas or field hockey matches, the choice is yours!
Little tip: remember to dress warmly 😉

Warm your calves

To keep your legs moving, get on the saddle! With over 18 mountain bike itineraries, Villard-Corrençon is a cycling destination in its own right. Faster than on foot, in just a few pedal strokes, enjoy the snow-covered landscapes of the Vercors.

If you want to do more without getting tired, borrow an electric mountain bike! The perfect way to explore the trails in a different way. The climbs are less steep (and we’re not going to complain) and there’s nothing special about the descent, apart from the thrill.

Dive into the deep end

After an outdoor activity or a good meal, we never say no to a bit of relaxation in the warmth.
And what could be more satisfying than getting out your best swimsuit in the middle of winter?
At the Villard de Lans aquatic center, it’s the pool, only more fun: play in the waves (yes, real waves) every hour and slide down the curving slide.

And in winter, ❄️ is theperfect place to watch the frozen landscape from the large pool!

Read the program of events

Because Villard – Corrençon is known as a lively and animated destination, we have a reputation to live up to!
So be sure to follow the schedule and, above all, the program of events and activities. This little notebook will be your bedside book during your stay.

During the vacations, the Tourist Offices’ entertainment teams will be on hand to provide you with daily activities (yes, that’s right!). Aimed primarily at families and children, adults are sure to get hooked!
Discover also all the workshops, games, initiations… offered by local players.
